Hello! My name is Ko Sugiura. I am a PhD candidate in economics at the University of Houston.

My research interests include international macroeconomics and trade, and econometrics.
In particular, I consider the applications of microeconometric methodologies (including network econometrics) to answer macroeconomic questions.

I will be on the academic job market in 2023-2024.

In my job market paper (JMP), I study the effects of industrial policies when i) industries are linked through production networks and ii) each industry is populated by firms that engage in strategic competitions.
